Eco-responsible shoes that can be recycled over and over again? Many of you are dreaming about it, part of the solution is right here in front of you.
These shoes are made of lyocell fibres and allow you to work in a closed loop.

This revolution in the world of footwear is the work of a German company that innovates for the circular economy by creating fibres that are recyclable for life. This process ensures minimal environmental impact through its reduced use of water, energy, raw materials and chemicals. The fibres are made from photosynthesis. Energy is absorbed from the sun and converted into chemical energy. Through this process, the starting products of carbon dioxide and water are converted into dextrose and oxygen. In addition, more than 99% of the solvents used during the transformation of wood chips into fibre are recycled and used again. This is a good example of the Cradle To Cradle concept. Furthermore, this production approach is in line with the recommendations of the latest Greenpeace report.
Characteristics of lyocell :
- 100% cellulosic fibre (chemically modified)
- High mechanical strength in dry or wet state (up to 40°C)
- Good moisture absorption (better than cotton or silk)
- Biodegradable
- Crease resistant
- Washable at 60°C with a shrinkage of about 5

THE NEW ECO-RESPONSIBLE FILAMENT: A NEW ERA FOR ECO-SEWING
Lyocell is the unique component, used in all parts of the shoe: as textile fibres in the upper fabrics, linings, soles, laces, zips, sewing thread, as non-woven fibres in the soles or as powder in the padding or outsoles.

Eco-sustainable performance
This shoe is made from renewable wood resources and thus transforms nature’s inherent properties into performance. Moisture regulation and thermal regulation are two of the essential factors that allow all kinds of footwear to work: sneakers, sports, safety, outdoor or casual.
Performance and comfort
Moisture regulation is an important criterion for footwear. This shoe, in particular due to the construction of the inner lining, the padding and the insole, regulates moisture in an optimal way compared to synthetic fibres. In addition, this shoe provides a high level of comfort due to the smooth surface of the fibres.
Sustainability – Ecology
The shoe is made from renewable plant resources, as they are extracted from wood. The production of the fibre itself is environmentally friendly, due to the closed loop system. The shoe is therefore biodegradable and compostable.
